The hymn numbers quoted here refer to Hymns Ancient and Modern (first edition, originally published in 1861).  The figures in brackets refers to the second edition , published in 1875.  Presumably both versions were still available for use in the church.  The hymns were:

  •   Processional  Hymn 385 (391) – Onward Christian Soldiers – Tune St Gertrude
  •   Second Hymn – as shown above – a special hymn, taken from “Hymns and sacred lyrics”.by Revd Godfrey Thring, published in 1874, probably played to the tune ‘Ein Fest Berg’
  •   Third Hymn 320 (215)  – The Church’s One Foundation, to the tune Aurelia
  •   Last Hymn 145 (295)  The strain upraise of joy and praise to the tune Troyte No2
