Booklet 10 – Fettercairn

The normal practice when an organ is dedicated or rededicated is that a visiting organoist is asked to play at the service..  In 1886, John Wardle unusually played at the dedication of the organ in Fettercairn Church of Scotland that he had just built.  When the church completed an major refurbishment in 1926, John was invited to be the organist at the service of Rededication.  It would appear that no significant changes were made to the organ, although no doubt it would have needed a thorough maintenance and retuning after such major building work.  This copy of the service booklet contains John’s notes
